This article explains how to update company information in the Swiss commercial register.
For instance, when a company replaces one of its directors, changes its corporate seat or increases its share capital, this information should be updated with the Swiss commercial register.
How is the Swiss commercial register organized?
In fact, each canton maintains their own register of companies. Thus, to bring your entry up to date, the changes need to be filed with the respective cantonal register. By the way, to look up companies and their current filings, the Swiss Federal administration provides an official database of all registered companies in Switzerland (www.zefix.ch). Zefix shows the data of companies of all cantons.
Usually, it takes maximum business days until updates to the commercial register are published.
